Mr. Nevins

Pretty soon the other teachers at the old high school begin to transform into crazy monsters. Mr. Nevins is one of the first ones to change. He's usually a pretty tame Biology teacher. Once the horns pop out though, he turns out to be quite a stinker!

Nurse Ashida

After the strange things begin to happen in the old high school on the edge of town, the Teachers end up seeing her quite a bit. She's a master of the band aid, thermometer, cotton swab, and witty come back.

The Hilarious Mr. Wu

Lover. Fighter. Algebra teacher. He is all these things and more. He doesn’t believe anything strange is going on at the old high school on the edge of town.
He believes that students are either a benefit or a hazard. If they’re a benefit, it’s not his problem.

Lunch Lady Land

One of the big fight scenes in the Teachers story involves the lunch ladies. Crisp used to work for them back when he was a student. Now he gets monsters to possess them. And who invented Italian Dunkers? Give 200 kids a steaming bowl of spaghetti sauce and a dry piece of garlic bread and you've got a guaranteed food fight on your hands.

Crisp returns

So that was it? Just a floating zombie Janitor hiding in the storage room? The answer is: no, Georgie boy! Crisp and Mickey Orchard were two good friends who got picked on a lot. Mickey wrote stories about monsters. Crisp actually met one living in the walls of the school. One that exchanged a favor for a favor. But that was before the school caught on fire. Before the two friends disappeared. Twenty years ago. Now Crisp is back. Only he looks like this! It’s going to be up to the Teachers to find out why…

Mickey Orchard

From the diary of Patrick McCoy (Crisp):
My best friend is Mickey Orchard. He writes stories. He already finished a couple books that are over a hundred pages long. But he won't let anyone read them. He's in 10th grade. He gets picked on a lot just like me. Probably because he doesn't change his clothes very much and he never combs his hair. One time they threw a football at him and broke his glasses. He just put a piece of masking tape on it.

Crisp

Story notes: There is one locker that is the key. The kid was given a swirlie. Stuffed in the locker. What's the combination? I think I have an idea. What do the beasts want? Inside: The Pale Child. Lovecraft knows.

Mr. Minton

Mr. Minton teaches Design and Technology. On the weekends he races remote control cars in the school parking lot. Eventually he's going to help out the four main Teachers in a very big way. But why is his skin green? Someone put turpentine in his coffee.

Sgt. Teacher's Lonely Hearts Club Band

As you can tell, we listen to the latest kinds of music out there. Even Rock And/Or Roll!

Oh Yeah, Teachers!

The idea for this project came from working at a school. I noticed one time how much a normal staff meeting is like a Justice League gathering. Each department has its own special 'powers' that the others rely on to make the whole thing work, as well as to 'save' the world. The idea made me smile. And I thought, they should all meet in the library after school and fight crime! But then the more I thought about it I, I thought- wait! I'm not much into superhero books, other than Batman, so why should I make one? So then it became how to make this into something I'd like to read. I went to school in Savannah, GA- one of the most 'haunted' cities in America. I've heard and seen some pretty strange things. To me nothing is more interesting or exciting than the question of what happens when we die. So what if something really strange is going on at their school? What would be haunting it and why? Would the other teachers believe them? What about the students? And what kinds of things will it make the Teachers question? Reality, religion....its a big territory. Suddenly I knew I had something worth exploring. And oh yeah, it needed to be funny! Writing the script and designing the characters/creatures is a wild road. More on that later...
